All my (tasteful, obviously) reviews for Ultimate Guide To Anal Sex For Women 2 (2000) have been 'unadded', aka deleted. This is on the ground that the title in question is not that of a film.

Well, I can't say that I've viewed it, which must place me at a disadvantage, but I would adduce evidence in support of my theory that it does amount to a film in the normal sense of that word.

It has a cast, albeit a list of people playing themselves (in the nicest possible way).

It has a producer and all those other people you expect to see when a film is discussed on IMDb.

And it has a run time of 140 minutes. Now that's too long for a BBC2 documentary.

It seems to have gone directly to DVD/VHS, so maybe a purist would argue that it was not shown in cinemas.

But its deletion is surely purism gone mad.

Another blocked film (a TV movie, but definitely a film):

Weird- I checked and neither of these were blocked. I then went to add them and they went in just fine. Did you get any errors or anything when you tried?

Zilcho, just showing as Un-Added - but good news for the unblock, Mr Speedy Gonbenjzales!

Hi benj

Did I dream it, or didn't we decide not to block anymore films? I've just tried to add two v. old films for this week's Train Crash TA:MOU, but both come up as un-added. Can't figure on what grounds either would be blocked.

They are:
1. Let Katie Do It - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0005613/
2. Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0035318/

Any chance to unblock quickly? BIG JUICY THANX IN ADVANCE!!

When the deletion frenzy started, a kept a list of the films I lost and my reviews and their votes. Here's what I had:

So your reviews were deleted with the removal of films?

Many thanks for the Century of Cinema reinstatment benj. I know that you are busier than a one-armed paperhanger with an itch.

I can't recall if this one had any votes when it was axed:

Picture This: The Times of Peter Bogdanovich in Archer City, Texas.

Yes, benj... I had twenty votes for my CENTURY OF CINEMA review ("The Hundred Years Whirr") before it was removed. What's the process for reinstating?

Are you sure it was 20? I can only see 6 votes recorded in the database, going back to the day after it was submitted (6/6/2011). I'm asking because usually when a film's been removed, the votes are removed entirely or (as is the case now) all votes are retained- not some lost and some kept.

Can you tell me roughly when you last remember seeing the votes at 20 so I can dig out the lost votes from the site backups?

When the deletion frenzy started, a kept a list of the films I lost and my reviews and their votes. Here's what I had:

LAST RITES Quaid charged incorrectly twice? 0
KING OF COOCHIE 4 The king comes fourth. 0
TRUE BOND Popov, Dusko Popov. 6
HIGHBALL Quickly-made Highball fizzles. 1
COME ON, GET HAPPY Feather in Partridge nest. 0
CENTURY OF CINEMA The Hundred Years Whirr. 20
TRUE GHOUL HOLLYWOOD STORY Glorifying the American ghoul. 0
RED SHOE DIARIES 4: AUTO EROTICA Red Shoe Di4ries. 0
WE'RE OFF TO SEE THE MUNCHKINS Fricke's full-length short documentary. 2

In the interim, I've assigned some of these reviews to other films, including the review for CENTURY OF CINEMA which now belongs to CENTURY OF SOUND (which, by the way, has six votes... could that be the confusion?)

Anyway, whatever you decide is fine.

Benj, it would be nice if this were addressed because the longer it takes to get resolved, the likelier it will be that reviews similar to or duplicating the previously approved ones still pending get passed.

Fixed.

Heya Lemmy- both those should be unblocked now.

Many thanks, benj. Is it possible to have the reviews that had been approved for these two before they were blocked reinstated with whatever votes they had? They are currently in my pending file.

Thanks.

Hi, benj. Glad to see some action on inadvertently blocked films.

There are two more that I believe should qualify for addition:

A Century of Cinema
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109390/

Picture This: The Times of Peter Bogdanovich in Archer City, Texas.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102664/

Action would be much appreciated.
