If any of you is a Tweeter and would like to help me begin a viral campaign, I'd be grateful if you'd post here and I'll explain what and why and that.
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers

Thanks bifey. Well, here's the nutshell with a couple of links to visit. If anyone else would like to virally infect me, I'll happily take the meds. ////////
A few days ago I launched a site called The StoryCellar Online, which is kinda like a virtual book club for original short stories which have never been published anywhere. I put a call out to some writers and others I knew did a bit of writing. Some are well-known in their own field, others are talented wannabes. Among the more talented is our own Joe Blevins --- thank you, Joe!
Writers can submit stories for free at anytime using the contact form on the website. Each time a member requests a download of their story, it's logged and counts toward a cumulative total which attracts a payment. It's modest, but it's pretty much every penny, except for literally a few pence which go toward admin stuff like registration of domain name and site hosting.
Members can join online via PayPal for an annual fee of 15 or $24. For that they can download a story every month, plus a bonus story for the first month. The bonus stories are all by out-of-copyright classic authors.
Here's the ANIMATED press release
Here's the lovely website
Please help with a Tweet.

Perhaps the best way to launch such a campaign - unless someone here has a massive following (I have about 33 or so and that may have been on accident) - would be to use LinkedIn - find some writers groups - join them, ask the group owners if you can post promotional stuff and where to do it, et voila. LinkedIn is ultra targeted and very good for such things.
BTW - I don't work for LinkedIn but I use it a lot for my work. |
